China Needs Black Jesus

African American spirituality includes a tradition of Jesus that trusted in God to make a way out of no way.

Donald Trump is the Naked Emperor of White Supremacy getting his ass kicked by Winnie-the-Pooh.

[Tony Schwartz, ghostwriter of Trump’s The Art of the Deal] describes the hours he spent with Trump as “draining” and “deadening.” Schwartz told me that Trump’s need for attention is “completely compulsive,” and that his bid for the Presidency is part of a continuum. “He’s managed to keep increasing the dose for forty years,” Schwartz said. After he’d spent decades as a tabloid titan, “the only thing left was running for President. If he could run for emperor of the world, he would.”

“It’s not that Trump is telling these groups what to think. They have their own White supremacist ideology for many decades now. What Trump is doing, is legitimizing.”

China & The Teachings of Jesus

And He said to them, “Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men.”
~ Matthew 4 : 19
Trump Xi

President Donald Trump and President Xi Jinping

The United States is currently in conflict with China, and in the eyes of most of the world, the United States is losing badly.
There are more Christians in the United States than anywhere else in the world. American Christians need to step-up our game to become more relevant around the world in the Twenty-first Century. Intellectual assent to the Divinity of Jesus and proclaiming that “Jesus is my Lord and Savior” is meaningless without actually following the example set by Jesus.
The United States is currently in conflict with China, and in the eyes of most of the world, the United States is losing badly. The Gospel is not going to appeal to Asians and the rest of the world by sending American missionaries, especially Trump supporters, but by Americans setting the true example of what it means to be followers of Jesus.
Harder to be an American evangelical

President Donald Trump listens as Franklin Graham reads a passage of Scripture during the inaugural ceremony in Washington, D.C.

Proclaiming that “Jesus is my Lord and Savior” is meaningless without actually following the example set by Jesus.
We cannot say the same thing as Saint Paul, Origen, or Saint Augustine, and expect it to resonate in the Twenty-first Century or in a non-Western culture. A Twenty-first Century Gospel has to be relevant in the age of Google, Facebook, Apple, Tesla, and Amazon, as well as be comfortable with the rise of China.
The Twentieth Century and early Twenty-first Century has been a great triumph of the secular age. The Twentieth Century saw two World Wars, and the rise of communism, fascism, and unfettered capitalism. Recall that Sir Isaac Newton wrote a great deal about the Bible. Bill Gates and Mark Zuckerberg not so much.
To avoid the massive conflicts of Twentieth Century, we need The Word to become more relevant in our world and that includes China, India, and the rest of Eurasia. Keller has a video about the Chinese church, and he asks “What do we conserve and where do we innovate?”
What do we conserve and where do we innovate?

White Rage and the Coming War with China

The hope is that this is still the greatest country on the face of the earth.

American leadership is challenged around the globe and inside our own country, our institutions are under attack from all parties. We no longer trust our leaders.
Vincent R. Stewart
Lieutenant General, USMC
The United States has been the leading world’s economy for the last century.
The United States is currently being challenged on the global scene by China and Russia. In addition, over the past 50 years the U.S. economy has shifted from financing the exploitation of natural resources to making the most of human talent. Yet, instead of addressing these threats, many choose to double-down on the historic oppression of people of color, especially African-Americans.

World GDP in 1980

In a few years, China will be the world’s leading economy by a substantial amount.

World GDP in 2022

It’s interesting to note that in 1960, China was the fourth largest economy, but dropped out of the top 10 a number of times between 1978 and 1991.

Always Speak Truth to Power: Putin Feared Clinton

So Jesus was saying to those Jews who had believed Him, “If you continue in My word, then you are truly disciples of Mine; and you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.”
~ John 8 : 31 – 32

No matter the challenges, the adversary, or the objections, always speak truth to power. No matter the costs.
~ Former DIA Director Lt. Gen. Vincent Stewart
MOSCOW — Prime Minister Vladimir V. Putin accused Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton on Thursday of inciting unrest in Russia, as he grappled with the prospect of large-scale political protest for the first time in his more than decade-long rule.
In a rare personal accusation, Mr. Putin said Mrs. Clinton had sent “a signal” to “some actors in our country” after Sunday’s parliamentary elections, which were condemned as fraudulent by both international and Russian observers. Anger over the elections prompted a demonstration in which thousands chanted “Putin is a thief” and “Russia without Putin,” a development that has deeply unnerved the Kremlin.
Speaking to political allies as he announced the formation of his presidential campaign, Mr. Putin said that hundreds of millions of dollars in “foreign money” was being used to influence Russian politics, and that Mrs. Clinton had personally spurred protesters to action. The comments indicate a breakdown in the Obama administration’s sputtering effort to “reset” the relationship between the United States and Russia.
